Sarah Jane Crew

Sarah J. Crew, 88, of, Montgomery, Louisiana, went to be with her Lord March 7, 2018.  Sarah was born May 24, 1929, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Fred Lambert Jackson and Ethrel Slaid Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. (Buddy) Crew, her parents, a sister, Millie Jackson and a brother, Joseph L. Jackson Sarah devoted her life to making a home for her pipeliner husband and their two children.  She was a member of the Montgomery Methodist Church and the Red Hats Social Chapter in Montgomery. Her children and their families survive Sarah: Gayle Johnson of Shalimar, Florida (Husband Bo, son Kelly and wife Katie, grandson Kellan), Danny Crew of Montgomery, Louisiana (wife Janet, daughters Kristy Crew and grandson Layton; Shelly Gongre and her husband Ronnie, grandsons Ayden, Brenton, and Kolton); and sister-in-law, Maxine Cox Jackson (wife of Sarah’s brother, Joe). Four precious nieces, great nieces and nephews, special cousins, and many friends who helped make her life rich and rewarding loved Sarah.  Their visits, cards, calls, stories, and prayers blessed her days and gave her peace. Sarah’s service will be held at the Montgomery Methodist Church on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 2:30 pm.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.  Visitation will be at the church from 12 noon until service time on Sunday the 11th.
