Sharon Annette Taylor

Sharon Annette Taylor passed away on August 22, 2024, in Natchitoches. She was born April 6, 1957, in Natchitoches, living in Provencal for most of her life, dedicated to her family.

She was an avid gardener and loved plants. She was a caretaker by nature and throughout her life, she has taken care of so many of her family members. If ever there was an issue, Sharon was the one family called to. Sharon was the oldest child of her family and took care of her sister and brothers growing up. She was married on December 27, 1975, to Kevin Thomas Taylor. They were married for 47 years until his death November 30th, 2023. Sharon was so proud of her own children and enjoyed watching them marry and start their own families. She recently visited her oldest son Kevin’s house to celebrate her grandson Brayden graduating from U. S. Coast Guard basic training.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Thomas Taylor, Sr., her father, Eddie Sherman Mitcham, her mother, Helen Annette Mitcham, and one brother, Rodney Kent Mitcham. She is survived by her children: Kevin Thomas Taylor, Jr (wife Alaina), Nicholas Justin Taylor, and Christopher Todd Taylor (wife Angela); her sister, Janice Cross (husband Joe), and brother, Randy Mitcham (wife Susan). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Jordan, Brayden, Jesse, Ryan, Madelyn, Maci-Grace, and Nathan. She was also blessed with a new great grandchild, Amir from her oldest grandson, Jordan.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date for the family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe, LA, in Sharon Taylor’s memory.
