Sheila Joyce Durbin

Funeral services for Sheila Joyce Durbin, 66, of Natchitoches, LA will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Life Church in Natchitoches with Pastor Stanley Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Creek cemetery in Saline, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the church.

Sheila Joyce Durbin was born on January 30, 1958 in Jonesboro, LA to her parents Bill Hay and Wanda McGee Hay. She passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Ochsner LSU in Shreveport.

Sheila was one of a kind. She loved keeping score at her grandchildren’s baseball games. When she was not following her grandchildren to sporting events, she absolutely loved cooking for family and friends. She was an excellent cook. Sheila loved to serve others, especially her church family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Mitchell Durbin.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 years Terry Durbin of Natchitoches, LA; daughters Terri Ann Callia (Hunter) of Natchitoches, LA, Crystal Eldreth (Blaine) of Giddings, TX, and Christina Feazell (Doug) of Natchitoches, LA; grandchildren: Payton Williams (Jodie), Trevor Durbin, Preslie Durbin, Mollie Durbin, Trinton Callia, Hayden Callia, Sophia Eldreth, and Buddy Eldreth; great-grandson Dustin Williams; all of her baby’s at Freedom Life Academy, and a host nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Hunter Callia, Trinton Callia, Hayden Callia, Trevor Durbin, Payton Williams, and Shannon Roque. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Clemons, Zach Whitehead, Jeremy Williams, Steven Solomon, and Kayne Thompson.
