A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Shirley Ann Kerry White will be at 11 am on Friday, August 14, 2020, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville with Rev. Christian Ogbonna serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin, LA. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Friday the 14th. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Zachary White, Jordan White, Dalton White, David White, Ryder Churchman, and Patrick Churchman. Shirley White, 79 years of age and a long-time resident of Cloutierville, passed away on August 6, 2020, in Alexandria, LA. She was born on March 30, 1941 to Pleasant Kerry and Lizzie Carnahan Kerry in Chopin, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Frank White; a son, James Chad White; and siblings, Juanita Smith, Ramona Brown, Gloria Delrie, Dempsey Kerry, and Pat Kerry. Shirley worked for over 25 years at Natchitoches Abstract and later Old Town Titles as a title researcher. She was a devout Catholic Lady deeply rooted in her faith and very involved at St. John the Baptist and Holy Rosary Chapel, Emmanuel. She enjoyed having family and friends visit and would always have something good to eat on the stove. Above all else, family brought her the greatest joy on earth especially her grandchildren who she deeply loved. She is survived by a son, Jason White and wife Rebecca of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Zachary White, Jordan, White, Carley White and Thomas Dalton White and wife Hope; a brother, Zane Kerry; a daughter in law, Liz Miller and husband Pat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
