Terry Lynn Williams

Terry Lynn Williams, age 63 and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024 surrounded by the ones who dearly loved him. He leaves behind cherished and heartfelt memories for his family and friends.

Terry was a long-time employee at the NSU power plant, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. Dedication extended beyond his career into his passions and interests. He was an avid racing enthusiast, especially reveling in the thrill of dirt track racing and participating in drag racing. Terry also enjoyed playing softball, displaying a competitive spirit that those who knew him admired. A die-hard New Orleans Saints fan, he stood by his team loyally, even through the challenging "paper bag years."

His beloved wife, Liz Williams, stood by his side through life's journey. Daughter, Tammy Chumley, and her husband Gary, continue to carry his spirit forward, as do his grandchildren: Ally Laurent (Jonathan Johnson), Lexi Carroll (Daniel), Savanah Edwards (Tyler Burr), and Calob Chumley and his five great grandchildren. Terry is also survived by his brother, Donald Williams, along with numerous other family members and many friends who will remember him fondly.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Harry Lee Williams, his mother, Lillian Moss Williams, his brother, Kenneth Williams, and his mother-in-law, Jeanette “Sweet” Niette.

A memorial gathering will take place at Blanchard St Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, on September 14, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at the same location beginning at 1:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of a man who lived life with passion, love, and dedication. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
