Timothy George Richards, a longtime resident of Robeline, LA, was born March 4,1953 in Minneapolis, MN and passed away November 13, 2024 at his home after a six-month illness.
Tim was a graduate of Fair Park High School in Shreveport and worked in a number of industries over the years. He was a custom steel fabricator at Magnolia Steel in Hagewood, Louisiana, from 2006 till 2019.
He is survived by his daughter Christa Lea Borst and three grandchildren Reagan, Lindsey, and Caiden of Shreveport, his sister Allison Gaff of Indianapolis, aunt Winnifred Cox Marcotte, nieces and nephews, and a number of cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Duane Holland of Leesville, mother Dixie Cox Starks and step-father Bob Starks of Robeline, LA.
Tim loved being with his family. He enjoyed reading and found joy in carpentry, photography, and specialty, ornamental steel fabrication. God was involved and worked in his life in many ways over the years.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service for Tim Richards will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Natchitoches Veterans Memorial Park, 622 Second St., Natchitoches, LA 71457. (The park is located between the old courthouse and the new courthouse.) This courtyard-like park includes several commemorative benches that Tim and others at Magnolia Steel designed, built, and installed. Rev. Paul Grace will officiate.
