Velinda Marie Moore

A beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Teacher, and Mother-in-law. Velinda Moore was gently called to her eternal home on November 13, 2024. Born on January 26, 1967, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Velinda was the treasured daughter of the late Troy and Jervis Moore, whose love and values shaped her compassionate and generous spirit.                                                                                                                                               
 Velinda’s life was a tapestry of love, woven with dedication to her family and community. She was a devoted mother to her four sons, Jack, Justin, Jonathan, and Jerred Niette, who filled her heart with endless pride. As a grandmother, she delighted in her precious grandchildren—Michael, Addyson, Reis, Jadon, Lillie, Evlyn, and Ruben—whose smiles and laughter were her greatest joy. 

Her family was her world, and her legacy lives on through not only her sons and grandchildren but her brothers, Troy, Marvin, and Robert Moore, as well as her cherished daughters-in-law, Heather, Elizabeth, and Sydney Niette, each holding a special place in her heart.  

Velinda's passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom. She nurtured young minds and inspired all with kindness, patience, and a love for learning. Her gentle guidance and bright spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met, a gift that will be treasured by her community for years to come.

 A celebration of Velinda’s beautiful life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. She will forever be remembered for her warmth, her boundless love, and her unwavering devotion to family, friends, and community. In every heart she touched, her spirit will live on, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved
