Wafa Dean Jenkins Manasco

Wafa Dean Jenkins Manasco, age 61, passed away at her residence on October 11, 2018. She was born to Harrison and Maxie Welch Jenkins on August 19, 1957, the eighth of nine children. She was a graduate of Robeline High School, who married the love of her life, Bobbie Ray Manasco on November 15, 1975. Wafa was a former employee of Robeline Marthaville Water System for over 30 years and a member of Robeline First Baptist Church. Wafa Dean, affectionately known as "Pake" and "Aunt Wafe" to nieces and nephews, loved cooking, cookbook collecting, genealogy and traveling. A loyal and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who valued spending time with family and friends above all. She leaves behind her husband of 42 years, Bobbie Ray Manasco, sons Andy Manasco of Robeline and Dr. Caleb Manasco of Baton Rouge, grandchildren Levi, Mckinly, Chase, and Lincoln Manasco, sisters Hannah Lacour and Judy Long and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Wafa is preceded in death by her parents Harrison and Maxie Jenkins, her grandson Julius Bryce Andrew Manasco, her sisters MarJo Jennings, Monita Olive, LaFaune DuBois, and Dawn Jordan, and brothers Joe Jenkins and Charlie Jenkins.  Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Tony Jordan, Harrison Mujica, Eric Mitchell, Bruce Mitchell, Michael Green, and Kyle Smith. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Robeline First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Central Cemetery in Robeline. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hickory Grove Cemetery and/or Lambert Town Cemetery.
