Lynn Weeks Durr

Funeral services for Lynn Weeks Durr will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Beulah United Methodist Church in Marthaville, LA with Matthew Pagels and Mike Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Beulah United Methodist Church in Marthaville, LA. Lynn Durr, 63 years of age, passed away April 23, 2013. Lynn was born July 9, 1949 to the late William Dewey Weeks, Sr. and Edrie Cordova Weeks in Shreveport, LA. Lynn was a loving mother and sister. She loved her son, Bart with all of her heart. Although she never sought after recognition, she was an excellent caregiver to her family, especially her mother, and would help however she could. Lynn was a Registered Nurse by profession, and was very proud to earn her degree in nursing, in 1996 from Northwestern State University. She worked for Saint Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA, CHRISTUS Coushatta Health Care Center in Coushatta, LA, Thompson Home Health in Natchitoches, LA, as well as Nettles Brown and Associates in Natchitoches, LA. Lynn was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her son, Bart Ingram of Robeline, LA; two sisters, Sue Marbut and husband Mike of Robeline, LA and Barbara Glass and husband Rubin of Florien, LA; two brothers, Billy Weeks and wife Dianne of Natchitoches, LA and Jimmy Weeks of Robeline, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Dewey Weeks, Sr. and Edrie Melva Cordova Weeks; and her grandparents, Jim and Eula Cordova. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bart Ingram, Billy Weeks, Ronald Barnett, John Sparks, Rubin Glass, and Matthew Pagels.
