Bonnie Jean Homsher Hartwell, 69, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at her home in Natchitoches. Arrangements are being taken care of by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
Bonnie was born on September 28, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio where she attended and graduated from Columbus North High School. She later attended Ohio State University, Tulane University, and Loyola University. She graduated from The University of the State of New York at Albany.
She lived in the Greater New Orleans area from 1961 to 2006 and resided in Natchitoches, LA from 2006 to present. She was a retired Enrolled Agent for H&R Block. She was Amateur Radio Operator KB5YSE, she was an artist, and was a member of MENSA.
She is survived by Ralph Milo Hartwell II, husband of 43 years & lifelong true love, of Natchitoches, Louisiana; Catherine Elizabeth Hartwell Lobre, loving daughter, of Natchitoches, Louisiana; Catarena and Nicholas, adoring grandchildren, of Natchitoches, Louisiana; and William Fred Homsher, doting brother, of Butler, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Octavia Crawford Homsher, mother, born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, died New Orleans, Louisiana and Malcolm Ariel Homsher, father, born in Milford Center, Ohio, died Bradenton, Florida.
